An art world where access doesn't depend on network.
Today, a career in art depends far too often on who you know. We are building galka so that every artist, wherever they start, has a professional partner on their side.
Galleries and agents have many interests to balance, not only the artist's. High overhead costs and commission-based pricing lead them to take up to 60 percent of every sale, while they can only ever represent a limited number of artists.
The result: the vast majority of artists work without professional representation. And many never take the leap at all. Now imagine what would happen if they could.
galka represents every artist, and works only in their interest. No competing agendas, no limited roster, no share of your sales.
She finds the opportunities, handles the admin and opens the doors, day and night, as a true partner at the artist's side. Professional representation, once reserved for a few, becomes accessible to everyone.
Every artist, represented.
Art is a fundamental good.
We believe art should be available to everyone, and made by everyone who feels called to make it.
We are building towards a future where anyone can pursue a life as an artist without depending on the right contacts: autonomous, self-empowered and in charge of their own career.

Hi, I'm Victoria.
My first job in art was in Paris, at an online gallery for emerging artists. Every day I spoke with artists at the very beginning of their careers. They were visionary and driven, and they poured everything into their work, yet most of them were figuring out the rest completely on their own.
Then I moved to Berlin and joined one of the world's leading galleries for photographic art. There I got to work with artists at the other end, those who had made it into the top 1% of the market. They were just as visionary and driven. The difference was that at that career stage they had people around them, believing in them and building their success alongside them.
I couldn't stop thinking about the artists I had met in Paris, and about how far they could go with that same support. What if every artist could have it, right from the very beginning? Not just a few, but anyone who dares to make art their life.
That question became galka.
